New Year, New Us: Juggling Crunches, Quitting Bad Habits, and Trying Not to Lose Our Minds! Because Mental Wellness is the Real MVP of Health Resolutions.
So I begin proposing a question, what is mental wellness? OR what does that even look like? Am I right?!
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines mental well-being as a condition of thriving in which an individual recognizes their own capabilities, can effectively handle typical life stresses, is capable of productive and fruitful work, and can make a meaningful contribution to their community.
However, my past experience of having worked with oncology patients I came to understand mental wellness is more than just mental health. It involves aspects of emotional, social, physical, and at times spiritual health. Stay with me for a second. The Global Wellness Institute states, “Mental wellness is an internal resource that helps us think, feel, connect, and function; it is an active process that helps us to build resilience, grow, and flourish.”
So instead of some motivation of New Year New You, How about we prioritize our mental health. So I formulated so Mental wellness tips.
